  • Llyrrh, Dragon of Order, has only physically descended to A'therys once in its history. This Second Calling was to punish humanity, who had managed to kill Golgorai-Asthas and thrown off the Balance of the world as it had existed for thousands of years. It was this call that pulled most of the gods from A'therys, leaving humanity largely to fend for itself for the first time in memory. With the destruction of Golgorai-Asthas, the world was plunged into a chaos not seen since its creation thousands of years previous. The gods were fearful, as none had believed the Mortals Heroes could possibly be successful in that endeavor. The Heroes themselves had disappeared immediately after leaving Monas Roth, and none knew where they had gone. Days of uncertainty passed, as not a soul in A'therys knew what would be done. It was then that Llyrrh's voice was heard; her call was this time directed at mortal-kind, admonishing them for what they had done. For the first time, she manifested as a physical being, a commonality with the other Dragons but new to her, to better confront the humans. To destroy a god was to disobey Llyrrh's rules, as set down in the First Calling so long ago, and the price was severe.

Her punishment this time was simple. The gods, who had performed their duties admirably for thousands of years, were relieved. All were to depart A'therys; those who did stay were warned that they did so at their own peril. The humans were now responsible for their own fate, for good or ill, as the gods once were told. They had broken the natural order, and so now they must be the ones to mend and maintain it. With that, Llyrrh departed as quickly as she had come, ending a several-millennia-long Age in an instant. As humanity reeled, the gods left at their own pace, if at all. Some left immediately, their penance made. Others stayed to put their followers in order before departing, or to accomplish final tasks in the physical world. But all major gods departed if they were able. The few lesser gods who did stay have their own agendas for A'therys, and know the risks. As for humanity, the Second Calling marked the beginning of a new Age, one in which the gods do not directly control them, and how that is handled remains to be seen.
